Our Mission:

* * *

  When American University was chartered by an act of the United States Congress in 1893, it was charged with the task of preparing the public servants of the future to effectively serve their country. The students of the Roosevelt Institution at American University proudly contribute to that promise, working together in a broad spectrum of policy issue areas and constantly collaborating to bring the untapped potential of our classroom learning into the policy arena.

  The policy centers at the American University chapter of the Roosevelt Institution are organized to mirror the Congressional committees, and include:

  These centers contain dozens of sub-centers that are specific to both issues and regions, and the membership is always encouraged to shape and define the centers as the policy needs of the moment require.

Welcome back!  We hope you all had a wonderful spring break.  The policy centers at American University are already up and running.  If you want to know when your policy center is meeting please Facebook:

Ellen Davis: International Relations Policy Center
Michael Weiss: Military and Government Affairs Policy Center
Jacob Shelly: Economic and Social Affairs Policy Center

In addition to policy center meetings, Roosevelt at AU is planning:

-A fundraiser
-Our annual elections
-Several more "Fireside Chats"
-And much, much more!

For information about the elections, or any of our upcoming events please contact chapter President Kaitlin Niccum at kn8569a@american.edu
