"The liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than their democratic state itself. That, in its essence, is fascism: ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or any controlling private power."

— Franklin Roosevelt

Staff

Who We Are, What We Do

The role of the staff is to support the work of our fellows and researchers by promoting their progressive policy and ideas in accordance with our mission.

Each semester, we recruit a team of highly dedicated and committed individuals to add to our staff with expertise in any of the following areas: events and programming, development and fundraising, media relations, communications and public relations, outreach and recruitment, copy editing, layout and design, policy solicitation and review. While not necessary, most staff members have some experience in academic research and public policy.

We are organized into seven staff divisions. The directors of each division comprise the Executive Board, which oversees all chapter activities and is charged with long-range strategic planning.

Apply to join this supportive and effective team.
