Center of Economics

Welcome to the Economic Policy section of the Brown Policy Review! We attempt to address a wide range of economic topics, including Economic Development, domestic Economic Policy, and the various social economic programs in the United States today. In this second issue, Editors Mark Ramadan and Marc Frank selected two pieces dealing with the issue of domestic policy. The first piece discusses America’s “near-poor” and its possible solutions, and the second argues for instituting paid family leave in New Jersey.

This is the second issue for Economic Policy, and we are proud of the progress we have made in both the quality of articles and the effort put forth by its editors. We continue to seek eager students to help solicit, edit, and publish articles for the upcoming Spring 2006 issue, and we welcome and encourage any submissions during this semester.

We are currently tackling a project this semester to study poverty and financial institutions in the developing world. To find out more about this project, please Click Here.
