The Roosevelt Institution
Role of Steering Committees
http://rooseveltinstitution.org/challenges/steeringcommitteesEach challenge is associated with a national steering committee, led by a challenge coordinator in the Roosevelt National Office. Each committee is composed of one representative from each campus chapter.
These steering committees:
- work with the events team, the challenge league team, and host chapters to build successful challenge events
- manage relationships with outside partner organizations relevant to the challenge and maintaining a list of potential projects and opportunities for Roosevelt members
- recruit on-campus partners and make student organizations working on the issue aware of the Roosevelt effort and how it can help their efforts
- stay up-to-speed on projects we and our campus partners are doing and make sure that we are successful in completing our policy goals by the end of the year
- working with media, publications, development, and chapter services departments to ensure that the great things that we're doing in this area are known to the public and our partners and supporters
