"It isn't enough to talk about peace. One must believe in it. And it isn't enough to believe in it. One must work at it."

— Eleanor Roosevelt

Making Democracy Work

Our challenge is to create policy and awareness of ideas that will improve the democratic system. A successful democracy must serve the needs of its people to the best of its ability, and can only be done by continuous evaluation and change.

Currently, we are working on ideas to eliminate the electoral college, change the election day, improve the voting system, and refine the lobbyist system. Other issues that we hope to address during this challenge are campaign finance reform, electoral policy, voting technology, voter education, and increasing voter participation.

We would like your help in "Making Democracy Work".
