Making Democracy Work

Frustrated by the problems in our democracy? At this event we'll discuss the issues that keep our democracy from working for the people it is supposed to serve then brainstorm ideas on how to solve these problems. Refreshments will be provided.

 

Dahr Jamail at UC Davis

The UC Davis chapter of the Roosevelt Institution is proud to present Dahr Jamail, a renowned international journalist who has recently spent time in Syria, Lebanon, and Iraq, which he has visited throughout the war. Dahr offers an honest perspective on the war in Iraq and will answer many of your questions regarding the Middle East. He will be speaking at 8pm on November 6, 2007 with a Q&A and book signing to follow.
