The Environment Center hopes to work (in conjunction with other environmental groups on campus) to broaden the dialogue and debate on environmental issues, including sustainability, alternative energy, and smart growth ideas. Our hope is to focus on smart growth and sustainability this semester, with potential projects including:
Discussion and debate on the proposed Square 54 development plan;
Promotion of biodegradable plastic and other products at J Street food court;
Encouragement of use of alternative energy by local businesses.
Please join us at our General Body Meetings on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month in Monroe Hall 111. Also, please contact Sarah Zubair, director of the Environment Center, at: szubair@gwu.edu.
