Welcome to the Kenyon College Roosevelt Institution's Center on the Environment and Energy.

Hey Roosevelters: I would really encourage you to attend this leture. It should be really amazing. Here's the info:

The Edgerton Lectureship on Energy and the Environment

The Edgerton Lectureship brings visiting scholars to Kenyon to address energy issues in a public lecture for a general audience, and to provide opportunities for interaction with students, faculty and community members in classes, department seminars and social events. With a theme of sustainable energy and the environment, lectureship topics will focus on the challenges of continued dependence on fossil fuels, the impact of their combustion on the environment, and alternative sustainable energy systems.

This center is aimed at the discussion of environmental and energy policy areas, and we welcome any thoughts, comments, or ideas.

Currently, we are focusing on:

Environmental Disaster Preparedness and Resulting Economic Implications,
Sustainability Issues,
Environmental Protection,
Renewable Energy Viability,
Nuclear Energy Viability.

If you have another issue or related policy area, e.g. science, that you would like to work on, we would be more than happy to work it into our schedule and discuss it further.

Remember! KCRIE&E is interested in talking about solutions (policy) and not petty politics. We encourage people who identify themselves across the political spectrum to participate in all of our events, functions, activites, etc. since solutions are best created when we all come to the table to address our common concerns. But please, come with an open mind and reasoned opinions.

For the Fall Semester 2006, we will be working on research and formentation of papers for the review. If you have project ideas, or would like to get involved with any of our current projects, please email Tom Au (aut@kenyon.edu) or with any other questions on the KCRI Center on Environment and Energy.

Catch up on news, comment, or discuss in the Environment and Energy Bulletin Board.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but we are still constructing this site. Thanks for your patience.
