For the 2007-2008 academic year, the Center for Energy and the Environment studied the prospects of wind energy as a supplemental renewable energy source for the state of Michigan.

November 2007: As our project research leads us to redefine our focus, we are collaborating with our Economic Center in order to complete an analysis of Michigan wind energy as it is relevant to the economics of this state.
March 2008: "Michigan Wind Energy: An Assessment and Future Policy Implications" was featured in the "Great Stakes for the Great Lakes" publication through the Midwestern Region of the Roosevelt Institution. The research within the report was presented at the Great Stakes for the Great Lakes conference in Ann Arbor, Michigan on March 28, 2008. The PDF version of the entire publication is available here.
