Thanks to all the participants and speakers that made the workshop a success! A video of the conference, along with copies of the presentation, will be available shortly. The Chicago Health Policy Workshop at Northwestern University (May 24th, 2008) will bring together students from across the Midwest to hear from leading health policy experts at the state, and national level. Students will have the opportunity to work on their own policy ideas and present them for feedback from their peers and the day's speakers. Click here to view a full schedule for the conference. The ideas and dialogue don’t have to end with the workshop. We will work with all interested participants to help them submit their policy ideas to the Roosevelt Rx Health Policy Publication. The workshop has been made possible by generous support from Northwestern University's Institute for Policy Research, American Studies Program, and Global Public Health Studies Program. Student partners include Americans for an Informed Democracy and GlobeMed. The workshop will be held in the Lake Room, on the second floor of the Norris University Center at  Northwestern University. Confirmed speakers for the conference include: Dr. Quentin Young, health policy expert and Executive Director of Physicians for a National Health Program Heidi Nelson, Executive Director of Heartland Health Outreach, and an adjunct professor of health policy at Northwestern University Dr. Harold Pollack, Associate Professor at the School of Social Service Administration, and faculty chair of the Center for Health Administration Studies at the University of Chicago Rep. Mary E.
