The Roosevelt Institution, the nation’s first student think tank, is looking for smart students and strong writers to contribute to a new national student health policy journal that will be distributed to lawmakers across the country.   Policy Proposals   We are looking for 650-word policy briefs on your innovative ideas to reform the US health care system at the federal, state, or local level. In particular Roosevelt Rx is looking for submissions addressing three central health policy challenges: Cost Disparities Access For a complete description of the submission guidelines as well as an overview of potential topics, please visit www.rooseveltinstitution.org/policy/health/rooseveltrx/publication/policy   Students may contact the editors in advance to refine their ideas, but all completed policy proposals should be sent to rxpolicy@rooseveltinstitution.org by June 15, 2008.   Feature Articles   In order to provide a context for student policies and in order to discuss the larger issues of implementation, Roosevelt Rx is also looking for feature articles of 700-1000 words about the following topics: History of health reform (3 articles) Current politics of health care (3 articles) Framing and communication (3 articles) For a more detailed description of the specific articles we are looking for and the submission process, please visit www.rooseveltinstitution.org/policy/health/rooseveltrx/publication/features.    Articles for this section will be assigned to writers, and writers will work closely with the section editors to develop their ideas.
