Leadership Positions for Roosevelt Rx Publication
To be successful, the Roosevelt Rx publication will require a team effort of many talented, dedicated people. If you are interested in taking a leadership role, email robert.nelb (at) yale.edu with a short statement of interest by Friday, March 4th. You are strongly encouraged to take a leadership role, but you do not need to be an editor in order to publish a policy paper in the publication.
Most of the time commitment for these positions will be in the summer 2008, but we will be doing some important planning in the spring of 2008 as well. In particular, on Saturday, July 12th (the day after the Roosevelt Institution’s National Policy Expo), there will be an editorial meeting in Washington, DC to review and edit the papers for the Roosevelt Rx publication. Because this meeting will be the only time for the editorial board to all work in person, all Roosevelt Rx editors must attend this meeting. The Roosevelt Institution should be able to provide support for travel and housing.
Section Editors
There will be at least one editor for each section of the publication. Editors will work with writers to develop their ideas and will work on editing and selecting the final policies for the publication. Editors of the policy proposal section will primarily work on generating a high number of innovative submissions for each policy topic, while editors of the other ‘feature’ sections will primarily work with selected writers to develop high quality articles. For more details about each of the sections, see the most updated publication prospectus, available at http://rooseveltinstitution.org/policy/health/rooseveltrx/publication.
