The Roosevelt Review

The Review is the Roosevelt Institution's annual research journal.
Accepting submissions from colleges throughout the country, Roosevelt chooses the best student research from all academic fields. Once published, The Review is distributed to state and federal legislators and agencies, as well as advocacy groups and other think tanks.

The next issue of The Review will be published in October 2008. For more information on the publication as well as past issues, please click here.
Submission guidelines can be found here.

The FINAL deadline for submission is April 1, 2008. However, submissions will be accepted on a rolling basis, so we strongly encourage you to send in your work!

The 25 Ideas Series

The 25 Ideas series is designed with the policy maker in mind: from the two-page, condensed formatting, to the inclusion of concise sets of key facts and talking points. Ideas focus on the local, state, and federal levels of government and address the three challenges the Roosevelt Institution has adopted this year. The publication is distributed to legislators, federal agencies, and advocacy groups and the ideas serve as the basis for the next year's legislative activities.

This year's 25 Ideas series will be published in July 2008 at the annual Policy Expo in DC.

The FINAL deadline for submission is April 1, 2008.

To see the first 25 Ideas series, click here. Submission guidelines can be found here, if you have additional questions please e-mail kirti.datla@rooseveltinstitution.org. Please send submissions here with "25 Ideas Submission - Challenge Name" as the subject line.

Think International

Think International, will focus on international affairs and will feature a different theme each issue.

The theme for our second issue is Africa. The
FINAL deadline for the second issue is April 1, 2008.

Check out the page for Roosevelt's newest publication here. You'll find submission guidelines, deadlines, and more!

Harvard Law and Policy Review Online

The Roosevelt Institution is partnering with the Harvard Law and Policy Review, the official journal of the American Constitution Society, to publish short student-authored pieces on progressive policy and law online.

Articles should be on a progressive legal OR policy issue and should be 4-6 pages long with minimally footnotes (1-2 footnotes per page would be ideal). A brief abstract is appreciated.

To get a sense of what kind of material will be published, please look at their website. The articles which most closely resemble what they are looking for are the "Short Essay" pieces at the bottom left-hand corner. Full submission guidelines  are available here.

Submissions should be directed here and should include "HLPR Submission" in the subject line.

The third round of submissions is due April 1, 2008. Please include your contact information when submitting.

Further questions should be directed to Kara Loewentheil, HLPR’s Senior Online Content Editor.
