"The boy who is going to make a great man must not make up his mind merely to overcome a thousand obstacles, but to win in spite of a thousand repulses and defeats."
Mike Scheuer, the former head of the CIA Bin Laden Unit and published author on Islamic-American affairs, will be speaking on the topic of "U.S. Foreign Policy and the Next Administration". This event should be extremely interesting and informative so we hope you can make it out! The talk will be in Gambrell 429 at 3 PM.
Tuesday, September 30:
Our second meeting will be on Tuesday, September 30 at 7 pm in Russell House room 305. We'll be hosting Elise Partin, a local Cayce politician who will be speaking about grassroots movements and other ways to get involved in politics. Hope you can join us!
This will be our second year as a chapter, and we have big plans. We will continue our monthly meetings with speakers and also will be putting the finishing touches on a Roosevelt class to be offered in the spring semester. Look forward to our journal of USC student work being published online soon, and stay tuned for other chapter initiatives. Everyone is welcome to attend our events - we are always looking for new ideas!
