Nick Bradley is the founder and president of the Roosevelt Institution at Otis College of Art & Design in Los Angeles, California. After attending the inaugural Hyde Park Conference in 2005 he was eager to apply the chapter model to an art and design college. Hoping that Otis could provide Roosevelt with graphic design, photography, advertising, illustration, and web design, Nick wrote a proposal for a Liberal Arts course. Bradley's proposal for a full credit Roosevelt course at Otis was approved by faculty and in Spring 2006 he directed "Politics and Mass Media: Roosevelt Institution Think Tank" as an online independent study course. The Center on Public Awareness was born out of desire to spread the message of progressive politics to the greater Los Angeles area via posters and publications. The course was reestablished in Fall 2006 and titled, "Roosevelt Institution: Student Think Tank." Fellows launched a new flash website at www.riocad.org and started RIOCAD Magazine. During the Spring of 2007, Nick Bradley proposed an independent study course in the History of Graphic Design and worked on the Roosevelt Challenge Triptych Poster Series. The posters will be on display at the National Policy Expo 2007 in Washington D.C. Bradley continues to pursue art for the greater good and is interested in educational policy, economic policy, photography, graphic design, advertising, illustration, media, painting, and new genres. After graduating from Otis in 2008 with a BFA in Communication Arts, Nick Bradley plans to pursue an MFA.
