Jennifer Haskell
School: Stanford University Member of: Center on International Development Center on International Security Jennifer Haskell is a sophomore majoring in political science and concentrating in comparative politics. Academically, she is especially interested in comparative governmental systems, democratization, and politics in East and South East Asia. Last summer, Jen spent her time doing international relations research for Professor Stephen Krasner in the Center on Democracy, Development, and the Rule of Law and she has an article on Malaysia's political system appearing in the winter 2005 edition of the Stanford Journal of International Relations. As United States politics have always interested her as well, she has been very involved in Stanford Democrats and local election campaigns, especially Ira Ruskin's successful bid for California Assembly. On campus, she is also heavily involved in Alpha Phi Omega, a co-ed community service fraternity, and the Society for International Affairs at Stanford. Jen originally hails from Phoenixville, Pennsylvania and enjoys playing tennis, boating, community service and reading in her spare time.
