Center on International Security

Megan Stacy is a sophomore from Los Angeles, California. Majoring in Political Science, her focus is on International Relations, but she also studies American Politics. Always interested in public policy, Megan initially planned to study healthcare policy at Stanford, but after participating in Professor Coit Blacker’s Sophomore College seminar, “American Foreign Policy in the 21st Century,” she has shifted her focus. She hopes to pursue undergraduate research within the CISAC program on foreign policy and issues of national and international security. Recently, Megan has been active in the Stanford Democrats and worked to plan Service Day for Kerry, a student-initiated national day of community service for college students to show their support for Senator Kerry's presidential bid. In the Fall of 2005, Megan will attend Stanford in Washington, where she hopes to complete a governmental internship focused on foreign policy. Upon graduation from Stanford, she will likely attend law school, en route to pursuing a career in public service.
