James Donald Elias is currently a senior and works as policy coordinator of the George Washington University chapter. He served as the chapter's secretary and treasurer before assuming his current role; he takes wonderful notes. He was born in Syracuse, NY, but relocated to Parkland, Florida before forming any memories of Syracuse (he has been told that this is a good thing). James is pursuing a double major in philosophy and political science; he only cares about one of these, though.

James is a pseudolibertarian and political wild card. He has been known to take positions that surprise and offend many people with whom he is acquainted.

His research interests include pragmatism, Continental philosophy, and philosophy of language. He is a big fan of Stanley Fish and (especially) Richard Rorty.
