Oliver is currently a junior at Brown. He spent his freshman year at the University of St. Andrews, Scotland, where he studied International Relations and Security Studies. While at St. Andrews he served as an intern and group profiler for the Center for the Study of Terrorism and Political Violence (CSTPV). After one year at St. Andrews he transfered to Brown University. There, he joined up with the Brown Policy Review which, in the fall of 2005, became the Brown chapter of the Roosevelt Institution. At Brown he served as the co-editor of Environmental Policy and is currently the head of the International Security/Defense Center of the Brown Roosevelt Institution. Nationally he serves as the Publisher of the Roosevelt Review and is a member of the Student Oversight Committee.
