Member, Writing Group Danny Cullenward is a junior in the Earth Systems program and a master's student in Management Science & Engineering. Childhood summers in the Colorado Rockies prepared him for studies in resource management and conservation biology, ultimately leading to current passion, climate change. Danny is most interested in systems thinking and interdisciplinary work, especially integrating science and policy. During the 2004 campaign, he helped direct an environmental 527's direct voter contact program on mercury and clean air. At Stanford, he has worked on climate modeling, campus organizing and curriculum development. He also has a longstanding interest in human rights, stemming from his participation in the Guantanamo Bay legal cases. Despite a love for the west coast, he hopes to later assist the emerging progressive movement in his home state of Wisconsin.
