Marcelo Worsley is a Chemical Engineering student in his second year of
study. He is double majoring in Portuguese, with a particular interest in
multicultural issues in Brazil. He was born in Sao-Paulo, Brazil, and also
lived in Belgium for five years. He has both Brazilian and American
citizenship, and because of this international experience he can speak both
French and Portuguese. Apart from living overseas, Marcelo lived in
Midland, Michigan where he graduated from Herbert Henry Dow High School.
Now a student at Stanford University, he is involved in the Society of Black
Scientists and Engineers and the Stanford Society of Chicano and Latino
Engineers and Scientists.

Marcelo is currently working on a number of projects that range from the economic and educational empowerment of Brazil's public school students, to addressing that lack of interest in science, engineering and medicine among low income minority students in the United States.
