Amanda Mitchell
School: Stanford University Member of: Center on Economic Policy Center on Education and Learning Amanda Mitchell is a Stanford freshman interested in too many things to decide a major, but would love to study something that studies international culture and society. From the East San Francisco Bay Area, she has been involved with tutoring and education projects through area elementary schools and Rotary International since high school. She is interested in working on educational policy issues and believes educating children in critical thinking, creativity, and tolerance is a crucial step for the progression of our country and world to a more understanding community. As a non partisan voter, she hopes her work for the Roosevelt Institution will contribute to an America that values a progressive policy of equality and acceptance. She wants to pursue a career that allows her to travel, explore different ideas, and/or influence the development of children around the world.
