Policy interests: Diversity, race, and opportunity, Economic policy, Education, Energy, Fair and clean politics, Government reform, Labor and workers' rights, Nonprofits and philanthropy, Science and innovation, Sexuality and LGBTQ issues, Social policy, Sustainability, Urban policy, Voting rights Ernesto Rodriguez is the former Policy Coordinator and Co-President of the George Washington University chapter of the Roosevelt Institution, as well as a former member of the National Editorial Board and coordinator of the National Blog. Before his work as Policy Coordinator, Ernesto directed the Center on Education at GW, helping fellows in their research on the NCLBA and AP programs at the secondary level. His work focused on presenting policy to GW on interacting more closely with the DC public school system in an effort to strengthen college ambitions among disadvantage student populations. Ernesto is originally from Albuquerque, NM and received a degree in Political Science and a minor in Chemistry. Any Fellows visiting DC should feel free to contact him for support while in the area.
