"The only limit to our realization of tomorrow will be our doubts of today -- let us move forward with strong and active faith."

Member of:
Center on Science, Technology, and Space

Jeremy Hoffman is a sophomore majoring in computer science at Stanford. He was born in D.C. and raised in Bethesda, Maryland. He attended the Math/Science/Computer Science Magnet program at Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Jeremy is interested in the role of science and technology in our society. He wants sound science to guide public policy instead of ideology. Jeremy also cares about the way that the media serves our democracy. They aren't doing their job. Jon Stewart basically sums it up: the media covers politics as entertainment when they should analyze the issues.

Jeremy doesn't have much public policy experience, but he does have programming and web design experience, so he hopes to contribute to the technical efforts behind the Roosevelt Institute operation.
