Kim is a junior History (U.S.) and Spanish (Latin America) double-major. She is from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Kim has a strong interest in both constitutional and international law and hopes to pursue those passions in law school and possibly public service. She completed her history honors thesis on the Chilean Supreme Court's relationship with the socialist Allende presidency from 1970-73 and will pursue a coterminal master's degree in history in the coming year. She is fluent in Spanish and knows some Portuguese. Past experiences doing legal and governmental research for a congressional office, law firm, state Supreme Court justice, public interest lobbying group, and the American Bar Association have combined with her academic interests to create a passion for international relations and governance. She has studied Latin American history and literature, the United Nations' role in nation-building, and the foundations of the U.S.'s constitution and foreign policy.
