Brian is the Southern Region Chair and a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia where he studied sociology and religion. Currently, Brian is a first year graduate student at the LBJ School of Public Affairs at UT-Austin focusing on social and economic policy -- primarily poverty-related issues.
While at UGA, Brian served as co-organizer of Students Together Ending Poverty (STEP), a poverty awareness and policy dialogue movement in Athens, GA that brought together 15 organizations and over 1000 students for presentations, awareness, debates, forums, lectures, movie screenings, and food and book drives.
Additionally, he served as the Policy Director for Roosevelt @ UGA and a Senior Fellow focusing on Working Families.
