Patrick Dorsey is the Legislative Director of the Roosevelt Institution.

He is also the Policy Director of the Roosevelt Institution at The University of Virginia, where he has worked in the past as the Chair of the Center on Campaigns and Elections.

Outside of Roosevelt, he's worked on the staff of a central virginia office of the Jim Webb for Senate Campaign, John Kerry's Presidential Campaign, and for the campaigns of US Representative Tom Davis and VA Del. Chap Petersen. He worked for Senator John Warner in the winter of 2006, and in the Summer of 2006 was a Campaign Coordinator and Field Manager for the Washington, DC Regional Office of the U.S. Public Interest Research Group.

During the school year he is a research assistant at the Miller Center of Public Affairs and the Chair of the Legislative Affairs Committee of Student Council.
