Ted Nesi

A native of Attleboro, Mass., he became interested in politics during high school as he watched events unfold in the aftermath of the Sept. 11 attacks, from Afghanistan to Iraq and beyond. Ted's main policy interests are defense strategy and foreign affairs, although he is also interested in programs to increase the economic security of individuals and in strengthening local communities. He sees the Roosevelt Institution as having the potential to tap into a huge resevoir of ideas and energy, with its emphasis on engaging college students in the substance of national and local government policy. He also enjoys working alongside the bright, interesting people that the organization attracts. Ted currently works as a reporter for the daily newspaper The Sun Chronicle, and is working on an honors thesis about Sen. Edward M. Kennedy.
