"Progress has brought us both unbounded opportunities and unbridled difficulties. Thus the measure of our civilization will not be that we have done much, but what we have done with that much."

Andrew Cox, native of Santa Barbara, California, is a senior Political Science major at Yale University. In 2003 he helped establish a youth advisory board for his Congressional Representative through Junior Statesmen of America. At Yale, he is active with Yale Democrats, teaches health education in New Haven classrooms, and has worked with several sexual assault prevention organizations. Working as a volunteer coordinator for the 2004 Kerry campaign in New Hampshire reawakened his political involvement. Andrew returned to Yale looking to create a new way for students to interact with government and ended up helping to found the Roosevelt Institution at Yale. He now works as the National Communications Director. In the future, Andrew hopes to attend law school and continue affecting national policy.
