Policy interests: Rural areas and Agriculture, Social policy
Jesse Wolfson graduated this spring from Yale University. He has long been interested in politics, but throughout high school, this interest was overshadowed by his academic interests. He spent the summer of 2004 researching in mathematics at Dartmouth and canvassing in his free time. After the election, he realized that we needed more effective ways to make use of the abilities of college students. Along with a handful of students at Yale and Stanford, he co-founded the Roosevelt Institution, working all last year and this summer. He served as the President of the Yale College chapter, as Editor in Chief of the Roosevelt Review, as Director of Publications, as Director of Chapter Services, and finally as Executive Director in the Fall of 2006 before returning to Yale to complete his degree.
He will be pursuing a Certificate for Advanced Study in Math at Cambridge University next year as a Keasbey Scholar.
The Roosevelt Institution is a nonpartisan, nonprofit national think tank devoted to bringing students' policy ideas to the policy process. The opinions expressed on this site are exclusively those of its members.
