Yale Andrew Beaty was born in South Carolina and spent his childhood moving around the United States and the world with his Air Force father. He now attends Yale University, where he is a senior History and International Studies double major. He has experience working with the International Security Policy Division of the Office of the Secretary of Defense, as well as with a lobbying firm on Capitol Hill. He also spent a summer in Berlin, Germany working for the international division of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, a political foundation associated with the German Social Democratic Party (SPD), as well as for an SPD member of the Bundestag.
