Policy interests: Education, Labor and workers' rights

I'm a recent graduate, full-time graphic designer and part-time student organizer. I organize with Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), and run the blog For Student Power - which focuses on student activism through the lens of student syndicalism and student power issues. I've also done work with the Democratizing Education Network and the Liberty Tree Foundation for the Democratic Revolution.

I'm currently writing a book on student organizing, which among other things argues that students should be organizing and agitating around not simply policy demands (e.g. get recycling on campus, end sweatshop-labor contracts, etc.) but structural demands (i,e. democratizing decision-making at all levels in the university).

I also give presentations and workshops to large and small groups on topics such as strategy, tactics, movement history, and the intersection of art and politics.
