Catherine Kozak is a Chicago native who now works in Government Relations at the World Wildlife Fund U.S. Headquarters in Washington, DC.  She was one of the founders and president of the American University Roosevelt Institution.  In 2006, she graduated from AU with a Bachelors degree in International Studies with a focus in US Foreign Policy as well as Western Europe and the European Union.  Her undergraduate thesis integrated those two interests using Justice and Home Affairs legislation in the EU as a case study. Last year (2006-2007), she studied under a highly selective 5-year BA/MA program at American.  Her Masters degree, which she received in May 2007, was in US Foreign Policy with a relational field in Nuclear Peace and Security. Her Masters thesis examined six years of the Bush Administration's nuclear nonproliferation policies.  In addition to Roosevelt and intense academics, Catherine served many clubs and organizations while at American University, including Circle K International, a community service organization, and The Eagle, which is the campus paper. Politically active at a young age, she has also participated in her fair share of canvassing, campaigning, and conventions. In 2005, she lived abroad for seven months, traveling and studying across Europe, and she looks forward to returning there in the near future. Catherine's professional experience has taken her to both the halls of the U.S. Senate and the private sector of International Development.  She remains active with the Roosevelt Institution.
