When I was approached by Steven P. Durham in the fall semester of 2006, I was asked to join RI, and consider the possibility of taking on a leadership role in the organization. I had always been really involved in a lot of activities, and I've always been really involved in politics..I was reluctant at first; I didn't know if it would work out, or if this organization was worth my time. As I studied further into the group, I found out what it's really for. I finally realized that now is the time to implement a new world order, and there is no better program for that than the Roosevelt Institution. This is a group for the future. It's time to realize that we are the ones that are going to have to deal with the problems set before us from the generation before us. Rather than point the finger and force accountability on political parties, generations, or industries/interest groups, perhaps we should focus on understanding that the problems aren't going to go away. Rather than lobbying in the best interest of a few, the RI is about finding solutions that are in the best interest of everyone, without incentive or merit.

Let's get this thing moving, and go change the world.
