As one of the founding members of the Marist College chapter of the Roosevelt Institution, Carl sees the Roosevelt Institution as the most important policy organization reaching out to youth. At Marist, Carl has served in the Student Government Association as the Student Body Vice President and has worked at the Marist Institute of Public Opinion, operating the phone lines during the 2004 Presidential Election. He has been to China twice in recent years and has spent a year learning Mandarin Chinese. An Eagle Scout from the Jersey Shore, Carl enjoys the outdoors, independent films, and classic rock.
