Robert Nelb is the National Policy Coordinator for the Roosevelt Institution and is the coordinator of Roosevelt Rx: National Student Health Policy Forum.

He is a member of the class of 2008 at Yale University majoring in Ethics, Politics, and Economics. In 2009, he will graduate with a MPH in health management from Yale as part of the new, five-year BA-MPH Program. His academic interests focus on structural interventions for chronic public health problems, particularly diabetes, and his extracurricular passion is organizing students around public health issues.

Rob has been involved with Roosevelt in numerous capacities over the past several years. In the 2005-2006 school year, he was the co-director of the public health policy center at Yale and a member of the Yale chapter steering committee. In this position, Rob notably helped organized the Brown-Yale Health Policy Symposium in March 2006. Over 100 students and professionals gathered to hear student policy. His center presented work on funding mechanisms for developing an AIDS microbicide (which has been published and the Roosevelt Review) and on a new project investigating health insurance mandates in Connecticut. During the summer 2006, Rob presented an analysis of the Massachussetts health plan at the Roosevelt Policy Expo, and during the 2006-2007 academic year, served as a charter member of Roosevelt's Student Oversight Committee (SOC) and as a member of the editorial board.

Feel free to contact Rob with any questions - he loves telling others about Roosevelt!
