Daniel Maree was born in Brynmawr, Pennsylvania and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa. Maree will complete his BA in Interdisciplinary Studies: History, Philosophy, and Film in the spring of 2008. As a prospective BA/MA joint degree-seeking student, Maree also plans to complete a Master’s degree in Ethics, Peace, and Global Affairs in the spring of 2009. Maree’s career objective is to write, produce, and eventually direct historically and philosophically based films. To that end, he is considering attending the University of Southern California's prestigious School of Cinema-Television after his time at AU.
