Dave Anderson is the Director of Business Development for Central Texas Water Resources with URS Corporation in Austin, where he markets and manages water resources and environmental engineering projects in Texas and throughout the United States. He holds a B.S. in Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, an M.S. in Water Resources from the University of Texas at Austin, and is currently enrolled part-time at the LBJ School of Public Affairs. He is a registered Professional Engineer and Certified Floodplain Manager in the State of Texas.

Dave also serves as Chairman of the City of Austin Environmental Board, appointed originally by former Mayor Gus Garcia and re-appointed twice subsequently by Mayor Will Wynn. He also sits on the City of Austin Watershed Masterplan Citizens Advisory Group, and has contributed other time to the City of Austin through his former Board-level involvement with the Austin-Adelaide Sister Cities Society and Greater Austin Sports Association.

He is a graduate of the 2003-2004 Class of Leadership Austin and is active in the Texas Water Conservation Association - Federal Affairs and Emerging Leaders Committees.

Dave's policy interests include water supply in arid locations, alternative energy, and water/wastewater in developing countries.

Dave enjoys volunteering for the Nature Conservancy, and is involved with several other organizations focused on the management of water resources in Texas. He enjoys spending time outdoors, and is an avid backpacker, skier, and all-around sports enthusiast. He lives in Central Austin.
