I work at the University of Washington's Office of Minority Affairs and Diversity as the Program Coordinator for the Upward Bound program, which does outreach to a diverse range of high school seniors to ensure that they have equal educational access. 

Outside of work, I'm a commissioner and Mayoral appointee on the Seattle Commission for Sexual Minorities, an advisory body that provides input and advice to the Mayor and City Council on policy and governmental issues relevant to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) resident of Seattle.  In Seattle, I'm also on the board of one of the country's largest social and recreation centers for LGBT youth.  Nationally, I've been on the board of the DC-based National Youth Advocacy Coalition (or NYAC, the largest LGBT youth organization in the country) for two years and currenty serve as Board Co-President.
