"It isn't enough to talk about peace. One must believe in it. And it isn't enough to believe in it. One must work at it."

Hello Everyone who has stumbled across my page here! My name is Morgan Nichole Kirk. I most usually go by Nichole, but in professional settings, for whatever reason, I have been known to use Morgan instead. I have one year left at Morehead State University with a major in Sociology and a minor in Women's Studies. At MSU, I am a member of SAFT, the Student Association of Feminist Thought, and ALLYance, which is about the alliance of all people and focuses on the issues of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered community. It is most commonly known as the gay/straight alliance. I am also serving as Vice President for SPC, or Students for Progressive Change, the group that led me here to The Roosevelt Institution.

My passion in the field of research is mostly with equality amongst men and women, but also with sexuality and sexual orientation, and the rights of all people. I am also a strong advocate against domestic violence and child abuse.
