"Human kindness has never weakened the stamina or softened the fiber of a free people. A nation does not have to be cruel to be tough."

I am studying International Relations at UC Davis, focusing on Middle Eastern conflict and Human Rights. Projects: I am currently researching the impact of education on conflict resolution; my hypothesis is that a child's education has everything to do with his/her ability to problem solve as an adult. I recently returned from Tibet and am working on a presentation about the Chinese invasion, Tibetan resitance, and the role of the Buddhist church in this conflict. I am particularly interested in capitalizing on human commonalities to promote diplomacy. I am also doing research for a professor on rogue nations and deviant behavior in the international community.
