Kelley Urquhart Glenn was born and grew up in Washington, D.C. In 2003, she moved with her family to South Africa where she graduated from Crawford College in Pretoria. At the age of seven, Kelley lead a movement to prevent a very old and stately tree on her elementary school grounds from being chopped down. She has been concerned about the environment ever since. She is now a sophomore at Arcadia University and majoring in political sciences. Her goals are to pursue a career in environmental policy and development. Kelley initiated the Arcadia University Chapter of the Roosevelt Institute in 2007. The chapter will focus on building awareness amongst the college campus and broader community through a speaker series which will bring together thinkers and practitioners who impact critical environmental challenges. In her downtime, she paints, composes music, and plays classical piano.
