Max Bruner is from Santa Barbara, CA and is a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison who will be graduating in 2008. He is majoring in political science, global economics, and Middle East studies and prior to Roosevelt he served on multiple local, state, and national political campaigns. In the Fall of 2005 he founded the Wisconsin chapter of the Roosevelt Institution, seeking to empower UW students and create a balanced and factual political dialogue on campus. In the summer of ‘06 he interned for a Wisconsin state senator and conducted research on energy and economic policy while developing research opportunities for the Wisconsin Roosevelt chapter. Max studied in Cairo, Egypt for the '06-'07 academic year to continue his study of the Middle East and Africa.
