Terry began his professional career as a Consultant and Director for Victory Briefs, a national recognized research and debate company. At VB he was responsible for writing nationally distributed analysis on heated political issues and topical news events. His passion for debate led him to work to establish two of the nation’s first Public Forum debate programs at UCLA and the University of Oregon.
During his time at Victory Briefs, Terry also worked at a political consulting and communications firm that focused on candidate recruitment and fundraising. Following his time at the firm, Terry worked briefly on a campaign technologies startup that focused on developing internet-based mediums for e-organizing and candidate outreach.
Terry then joined Strategies 360, a boutique political consulting and public policy firm that offered its clients a wide-range of services that could be provided all in-house. From public relations and federal lobbying to message development and consulting, Terry had the ability to develop a broad skill set as an Associate.
After his tenure at Strategies 360, Terry became the Legislative Affair Director at the NECA. There he serves as the lead on energy, healthcare, and federal contract procurement policies.
Terry has his B.A in Political Science from The George Washington University. Currently, he is finishing up his M.A. from Johns Hopkins University with a degree in Government, with concentrations in Political Communication and National Security.
