Majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Social Justice & Social Policy, African-American Studies, and History of Ideas, Sahar is a sophomore at Brandeis University.  Progressive ideas require progressive power, so  Sahar tends to  find strategies and  pursue plans that increase the strength of progressive institutions,  which he pairs with a near-laser-like focus on the needs, solutions, and dynamics of his geographic community, be it Rochester, New York or the Brandeis Campus.

Sahar started his progressive political career working for the progressive congressional candidate, Eric Massa. Since then, he's written for a a local progressive blog, founded another progressive blog on campus, and become the Director of Communications for the Democracy For America chapter at Brandeis.
