My policy interests include national service, educational equity, and various facets of American foreign policy, including America's role in the development of the Global South and our relationship with nations of the European Union. 

Personally, I am an AmeriCorps alum, having done a year of service with City Year, Washington, D.C..  I am also well-traveled and deeply appreciate the importance of America's image in the world.
