The Roosevelt Institution
The Roosevelt Institution is not about politics, it's about policy. It's not about big government or small government but better government. Not left, not right, but forward.
As college students, we do the work of think tanks every day. We write policy papers, we debate politics with our friends, and we do countless hours of research for our classes. The only problem is that we've lack access to the policy process... until now.
The Roosevelt Institution is America's first entirely student-run think tank. The objective of the Roosevelt Institution at the University of Virginia is to take students' progressive policy ideas and put them in the hands of policy makers, the mainstream media, and other think tanks. We believe that students deserve a voice in the realm of public policy.
RI at UVA meets Tuesday evenings at 8:30 PM in Cabell 338. We welcome visitors and new members throughout the semester.
The Policy Team
The University of Virginia Chapter of the Roosevelt Institution includes several policy centers, which are currently forming for the Fall 2007 semester to tackle Roosevelt's three national challenges. If you'd like to get involved, email the Policy Director, Patrick Dorsey, at dorsey@virginia.edu
