Roosevelt-Sponsored Policy Course Arrives at Wheaton
Professor Jerry Murphy of the Wheaton political science department taught an experimental course in policy creation during the Spring 2007 semester. The Roosevelt Institution chapter at Wheaton College worked with Murphy to develop the course's mission and syllabus, as well as recruited students who want to take advantage of this unique, exciting opportunity. The course explored how policies are formulated on four different levels, taking a separate look at city, state, national, and global policies. After learning the basics, students were able to focus on the policies in which they are most interested, from climate change to refugee rights.
